Flowers at London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week has come to a close with a profusion of flowers found to be hitting the catwalks in more ways than one.
Powerful, explosive floral prints of sunflowers, daisies, poppies and carnations were in abundance and hit the headlines big time when one designer even had wildflowers overflow from his model’s boots.
Carnations, not always the most popular of flowers, created the most gloriously colourful catwalk carpet this week. It was simply awash with yellow, white and pink carnations.
Make no mistake, girly, garden prints with roses and sequinned sunflowers on separates and dresses, oriental poppies on denim and French marigolds on shirts will be the big theme next year, with floral motifs, patterns and prints to be found simply everywhere.
